These steps are totally repeatable for me. Google Chrome in Mac is probably the most used app in macOS based devices, and it has a comparatively large number of user base than the default Safari web browser in Macs. that somehow makes Chrome suddenly find the camera! Without having to restart Chrome, it starts using the camera with no problem. then open Firefox and have Firefox use the camera on a video conferencing site.Here's what's weird: if I instead do this: If I force quit Chrome and restart it, then it finds the camera fine. Reloading the page does not resolve the issue. (Even though Chrome reports that camera permissions are allowed). then put my M1 MacBook Pro to sleep by closing the lid for five seconds.Hopefully, this will make modern browsing even more of a breeze. ![]() ![]()
